Recently I was listening to a podcast on how to naturally increase dopamine in your body. The podcast was not directed toward those of us with Parkinson’s but to a wider, more general audience. The podcaster, a neuro-ophthalmologist, talked about the effect of low levels of dopamine on movement and motivation. I feel that dip in motivation every time I set out to organize my thoughts and get our meeting announcements posted in a timely fashion. It seems the longer my to-do list, the more difficult it is to muster up my motivation. Finding the energy and focus to begin, follow through, and complete a task has become one of my latest (and greatest!) challenges.
What is your greatest challenge? Is it a more recent or an ongoing one? We invite you to share your experiences at our next meeting.
- Date: Wednesday, October 1
- Time: 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
- Place: Via ZOOM
For your calendars: the meeting dates through June 2026 can be found here along with links to the notes from previous meetings.
ZOOM PROBLEMS: A few of you had problems logging onto Zoom last month. I’m glad you found a workaround and made it to the meeting. From my experiences with this group and others that meet via Zoom, I suspect Zoom may be haunted by a mischievous Zoom Ghost 😉 😉 looking to create havoc and confusion! If you experience any sign-on problems, let us know what they were so our tech support guy (AKA tech-savvy husband!) for his input. Also check you have the latest version/update installed before signing on for our next meeting.
Note: Zoom link will be emailed the day before the meeting. Please plan to sign on from a quiet area of your home to preserve the group’s confidentiality. You may sign in 10-15 minutes early if you wish. We welcome you to join us even if you are running late. We get it if you are having a slower day!
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday!
