January 7 Meeting Announcement

Welcome 2026! I tend to greet the New Year with hope, optimism, and expectation. Hope for a year either as good as or better than the one before, depending on how the year before went. Optimism for meds working and that if I eat well, exercise more, take the right vitamins, stay connected, and do all the other things health professionals urge everyone to do, I will feel and function better. Expectation of myself to adhere to these intentions I’ve set for myself while retaining that spirit of optimism.

And then I look out the window and am greeted by gray skies, leafless tree limbs swaying and bowing to the wind. My outdoor thermometer registers the temperature as a few degrees above freezing. I feel any inclination I had of walking outside whisper a dozen reasons in my head why I shouldn’t. I feel hope and optimism leave me, deciding they’re better off in hibernation. Does this ever happen to you? What do you do?

Let’s talk about winter at our January meeting. How does it affect you on a daily basis? How do you get through the cold, dark months? Come share your thoughts and experiences on winter and anything else you wish to talk about.

  • Wednesday January 7
  • 1:00 – 2:30 via ZOOM

ZOOM link will be emailed the day before the meeting. Please plan to sign on from a quiet area of your home to preserve the group’s confidentiality. You may sign on 10-15 minutes early if you wish. We welcome you to join us even if you are running late. We get it if you are having a slower day!

We ask that everyone keep their camera on during the meeting so we can see each other, like we would if we were in the same room together.

ZOOM sign-on problems:  At times I suspect Zoom is haunted by a mischievous Zoom Ghost 😉 😉 looking to create havoc and confusion! If you experience any sign-on problems, let us know what they were so I can check with tech support (AKA tech-savvy husband) for input. Also be sure you have the latest version/update of ZOOM installed before signing on to our meeting.

Meeting guidelines and information can be found here. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
