Ladies, it’s cold outside. Let’s hope it warms up before our next meeting, which will be on Wednesday, February 6 at 1.00 p.m. Lindsey Vajpeyi will join us to help us understand Lewy Body Dementia, a topic she titles, “Lewy Who?”
According to the Parkinson Foundation, cognitive changes such as (1) problems with focused attention and planning, (2) slowing of thought, (3) language and memory difficulties, (4) personality changes and (5) dementia are non-motor symptoms related to Parkinson’s.
Lewy Body Dementia is an umbrella term Lindsey uses for two closely-related clinical diagnoses, including Parkinson’s Disease Dementia. She will talk about symptoms, treatments, and resources. Bring your questions!
Lindsey is the Director of Education and Outreach at Insight Memory Care Center (IMCC), a nonprofit organization in Fairfax. Learn more about IMCC at insightmcc.org and Lindsey here.
