October 6 Meeting Update and Useful Information

  • Everyone who attends shall be MASKED throughout the meeting, FULLY VACCINATEDand not attend if feeling ill or have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19.

Speaker Bio:
Teresa Jackson is a certified health and wellness coach. She combines her extensive coaching experience with her own Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2019 to help others who are newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s establish a new normal. Her accomplishments include: President and Founder of Lean on Me Coachinga founding member of Virtual Health Coaches; author of the book, Thriving with Parkinson’s: Finding Joy After the Diagnosis; host of the international podcast, Parkinson’s Pathway Pals, Tuesdays With Teresa; and founder of Parkinson’s Pathway Pals, a program that provides encouragement and education to those newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s.  

Teresa is also an Aware in Care Ambassador. The Aware in Care Ambassador program was organized by the Parkinson’s Foundation in 2019 to educate people living with Parkinson’s disease and those who care for them on how to stay safe while in the hospital. The Ambassadors are a volunteer group which include people living with Parkinson’s disease, current and former care partners, fitness providers, and clinical professionals.  They are tasked with distributing Aware in Care hospital kits and educating communities, hospital staff, and clinicians around the country about the care needs of people with Parkinson’s.
