Hope everyone is enjoying a safe, healthy, and joyous holiday season. I suspect I am not the only one whose plans were derailed by Covid and the fast-spreading Omicron variant. Dinner for thirteen became dinner for four when one of our invited guests tested positive the day before, keeping him and everyone he’d been around from attending.
For a number of reasons, our meeting plans for January and February have been amended as well. The speakers scheduled for both months canceled due to job changes. We have a few members who are unable to attend in-person meetings. Out of consideration for these members, combined with the unknowns about the new variant, January’s meeting will be via Zoom.
- Date: Wednesday, January 5
- Time: 1:00-3:00 pm via Zoom
- Topic: Post Holiday Check-In
January will be a good time to catch-up and check-in with one another. How are you feeling as we bid farewell to 2021 and usher in 2022? What challenges do you foresee? What is more difficult and what is easier for you? Have you made any resolutions or set any goals for the upcoming year? Bring your list. We are here to support and motivate each other!
Zoom link will be sent out the day before the meeting. Please plan to log on from a private area of your home to preserve the group’s confidentiality.
At our February 2 meeting, we will again use the time to share and get to know each other better. As of now, we plan to meet in-person at our usual location, subject to the whims of Covid.
I am also still working on a summary of our December meeting with Physical Therapist, Joy McLaughlin. What I’ve posted is incomplete, a placeholder for now.
Hope to see everyone virtually in January.
